Several concepts and designs are worth looking at if you will start a restaurant, change a bar or renovate a hotel this year. Some are here in the USA, another not far. Here are three excerpts on these new design projects from HA+D at Hospitality World Network: 1. The Bar at Paramount Hotel in New York City “Designed by the vice president of branding for Highgate Hotels, Susan Jaques, the new bar and lounge are sleek, straightforward and downright sexy, offering a largely monochromatic palette of black and silver with lusty bursts of blood red—the oversized print of sloe-eyed Brigette Bardot kicks the sexiness right up through the roof.” If you are going to build or buy a bar in a hotel, this is one example of the contemporary looks permeating designs today. 2. Choice Hotel International’s Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites Makeover “The design, led by design firm Gensler, will roll out in phases starting early next year. The new look is scheduled for completion in late 2012.” Check out what is in store as part of your hotel planning if you are a brand owner and franchisee. 3. Panama City’s Hard Rock Hotel When Hard Rock is about to start a restaurant in hotel, several factors contribute to their success such as this one in Panama. “In addition to the existing Hard Rock Cafe in the attached Multicentro Mall, the hotel will offer eight food & beverage outlets, including an indoor/outdoor bar & club on the 62nd floor – as well as a breakfast, lunch & dinner buffet. There will be a 7,800-square foot Rock Spa featuring 14 treatment rooms, and a Rock Shop store for guest necessities and souvenirs. The hotel will also offer business travelers and special event patrons 24,250 square feet of flexible meeting space to accommodate gatherings large and small.” Are you about to start a restaurant, build a hotel or add a new bar concept?
