However, according to this recent article about clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area, the stakes have been raised with these fraudulent licenses shipped in from China. Here are a couple excerpts of that story and what owners, operators and managers should be aware of now: “The fake IDs are showing up in bars and clubs all over the Bay Area and the state according to Chris Albrecht with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. “14-, 15-,16-year olds are regularly found in possession,” said Albrecht.” “At bars like Kip’s in Berkeley where IDs show up from all over the country, manager John Boyle considers himself an expert “It’s easier to get through TSA than to get through our door,” he said. But sometimes the fake ids are look just as good or better than the real ones, said Boyle. The most popular fakes these days: Arizona drivers licenses.” “The TSA declined to comment for this story.
