Marketing and Event Calendar critical part of Nightclub Business Plan

December 1, 2015Experts in Hotels and Restaurants BlogBy G4Developer

Whether you are operating a spiffy urban high energy dance operation or a small suburban entertainment and sports bar, a key component to your nightclub business plan success is including a consistent and constantly updated activities calendar. Like the music recording business where the top songs of many music artists only stay popular for a year or less, your bar and club is an ever evolving entertainment venue where you must keep your customers informed and involved to insure their regular patronage. Nightclub dancingIn addition, it is important to map out your activity and event calendar over a both monthly and annual period. This focuses your planning and should include holidays, city conventions and other special community programs that impact you and your local businesses. Once that portion of your calendars is identified, the next element is to add all the specific activities that you want to promote. These may include your entertainment schedule, unique drink offers, happy hour discounts, holiday parties, special guest appearances and so on. Next, is deciding on how to gather your customer information. The usual sources include: – Guest sign in lists (be sure to get email AND cell phone numbers); – Customer data from the POS (point-of-sale) computer systems; – Trade and membership organizations your business participates in; – Credit card companies marketing lists (i.e. American Express has a good business client program). The step in your nightclub business plan is deciding how to target them and what low and high technology to use to get your message out quickly and often. These include: – Blog(s) on your web site with updates 2 to 4 times per week; – Social media business pages and updates on Facebook; – Tweets via Twitter; – Email and Text phone marketing blasts; – Snail mail via the postal system such as post cards and coupon mailers; – Print advertising (where appropriate and not too costly) for artist and band appearances and special promotions. Lastly, is deciding on who in your business will carry out this critical part of your nightclub business plan and have them do it consistently and without fail.
