Court appointed receivers, lenders and lawyers will gather to hear about what to expect in commercial real estate this year for the office, industrial, hotel and agriculture sectors on February 29, 2012. The event is a joint presentation by the Bay Area and Sacramento Chapters of the California Receivers Forum and will be held from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at The City Club located on 155 Sansome Street in the Financial District of San Francisco, California. The title of the program is “2012 Nor Cal Commercial Real Estate Forecast.” The panel will be moderated by Clay Dunning, court receiver. Several experts, such as real estate brokers and court appointed receivers, are speaking on the different commercial sectors including Seth Siegel, Cushman & Wakefield (Office), Kevin Hatcher, Colliers International (Industrial), Robert C. Greeley, Greeley, Lindsay Consultant Group and Richard Schuil, Schuil & Associates (Agriculture) and myself on hotels (Dennis Gemberling, Perry Group International) and the registration link is here. My topic will include the potential of foreclosures and the need for hotel receivers given the uncertainty of the economy. There will also be a networking reception after the program where you can meet me to discuss any particular concerns you have as an attorney, banker or other special assets manager about the lodging industry and distressed hotels.
