– Over 35 years experience with full-service, limited-service, extended-stay, all-suite and timeshare hotels and resorts and casual, fine-dining and quick-service restaurants. Held positions for several different owners, operators and chains as Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Food & Beverage, Corporate Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
– Has worked with numerous brands, franchises and independents such as Bennigan’s, Best Western, Denny’s, Chianti’s, Confetti International, Crowne Plaza Hotels, Hilton, Holiday Inns, Jack-in-the-Box, Janus Hotels, Max & Erma’s, Marriott, R & R Resorts, Sheraton, Subway and Taco Bell among others.
– A graduate of several educational programs including Walt Disney University at Disney World Florida and the Steigenberger School of Hotel Management in West Germany and a member of the National Restaurant Association, Pacific Area Travel/Tourism Association and National Food & Beverage Forum.
Mr. Fernando was awarded the “2005 National Leadership Award” at a Presidential Whitehouse Ceremony, is published in the Best Chef of Texas Cookbook and is a former Board Member of IAHI – now known as the InterContinental Hotels Franchise Association.
