Court Appointed Receiver, Panel to discuss Receivership Sale 09-22-11

A panel comprised of an attorney, court appointed receiver and insurance broker will discuss the issues involving selling properties and businesses during a receivership. This is the first Fall 2011 program for the Bay Area Chapter of the California Receivers Forum. A summary of the event is as follows: Receivership Sales Panelists Shawn Christianson, Esq., Buchalter Nemer PC Jay Trisko, C Solutions Commercial Insurance Brokerage Clay Dunning, CA Court Receiver Date: Thursday, September 22, 2011 Time: 12:00 Noon – 1:30 p.m. Location: The Omni Hotel – 500 California Street, San Francisco, CA 94104 – 415-362-6630 Cost: $55.00 Members – $70.00 Non-Members If you wish to make a reservation and pay for this event via credit card, please send an email to the Bay Area Chapter, California Receivers Forum Administrator at jowens@emailcma.org. Or, follow this link if you are a court appointed receiver and want to join CRF. The September 2011 event will address the various nuances surrounding how the courts and industry professionals deal with bankruptcy alternatives such as receiverships to sell and dispose of assets. Panelists for the program will talk about a variety of issues including the court order to gain approval for a sale and other important legal ramifications. Banks, lenders and their attorneys involved in hotel receiverships should also consult our other blogs for additional information on this judicial process. In addition to our Bay Area Chapter programs, the state association of the California Receivers Forum regularly holds other educational events. There are chapters in the Central Valley, Los Angeles/Orange County, Sacramento and San Diego areas.
